Response to 5G conspiracy claims

Is it a

conspiracy?

As of 2020, there are over 2,700 scientist from 22 countries participating in over 800 scientific studies exploring the biological effects relating to electromagnetic radiation being emitted by cell phones, cell towers or WiFi networks.

We wanted to determine if any of these studies found that electromagnetic radiation has no significant adverse effect on living organisms. My team reviewed a 10% random sample (83 studies) and not one could confirm electromagnetic radiation poses no harm to living organisms. In every study we reviewed it was determined that that electromagnetic radiation has at least some statistically significant adverse effects on living organisms.

Denying the evidence

Despite overwhelming research some people are still not convinced. Speaking with Glenn Beck, Jeff Brown, a well respected technology investor, dismisses the concerns as “conspiracy” that has “been fueled by United States’ competitors.” Below is the clip of the “conspiracy” comment. The full length of this outstanding interview is one hour and 39 minutes.

Notes about the studies we reviewed

It’s important to note we found no studies that concluded that cell phone radiation causes brain cancer. This was not surprising because scientists know that the brain is slow to show the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation. It took 40 years after the two atomic bombs were dropped on Japan at the end of World War II for the surviving population to show spikes in brain cancer rates. But such spikes did materialize.

On the other hand, the adverse effect of cell phone radiation on the female breast and male testes is so well established within the medical and scientific community that this fact has already made its way into the medical textbooks.

And what must be realized is that most of the studies to date have tested electromagnetic radiation frequency levels at the 4G and older generation levels. 5G frequencies are up to 100 times the level of 4G frequencies.

All of the above considered, contending that the 5G technology poses no significant health risk is not supported by the medical and scientific evidence, in my opinion.

Conspiracies fueled by competitors?

To address Mr. Brown’s comment that the health concerns surrounding 5G are conspiracies fueled by competitors of the United states, the following are 22 countries involved in the conducting the research on the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation: Australia, China, Denmark, England, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey and the United States
